"18 Year-Old Shot in Car on 28th Street"

Los Angeles – On Sunday, April 30, 2000 at approximately 2:10 AM, Germain Q. Galvez, a male Black, 18 years of age and a resident of Los Angeles, stopped his vehicle in front of 4342 West 28th Street. At about that time, a male Hispanic (no further description) walked up to Galvez and shot him with an unknown caliber firearm as he sat in his car. The male Hispanic suspect then ran to and fled in a possible black Honda Accord.

Mr. Galvez was transported to a local hospital by ambulance where he succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation is being conducted by Southwest Area Homicide Detectives Frank Weber and Jeff Nolte. Anyone with information regarding this incident may contact Detectives Weber and Nolte at 213-485-7552.
