"Gang Related Shooting Claims the Life of a Youth"

Los Angeles – On Saturday, May 6, 2000, at approximately 9:00 p.m., victim Christopher Rashad Woodard, 18 years of age, was standing in front of a restaurant, located at 4626 West Adams Boulevard, when he was shot by unknown suspect(s).

Southwest patrol officers responded to the restaurant but were unable to locate the victim of the shooting. Unknown citizens transported the victim to an area hospital where he succumbed to his wounds. The motive for the shooting appears to be gang related.

Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact Southwest Homicide Detectives Rytis Razanskas and Richard Gordon, who are conducting the investigation, at 213-485-7552.
