Man Shot and Killed in South Los Angeles

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the persons responsible for the shooting death of 32-year-old William Chapman.  

On Saturday, November 1, 2008 at about 2:30 a.m., Chapman was in the courtyard area of the apartment building at the 4500 block of Rodeo Lane.  Unknown suspect(s) fired several gunshots at Chapman striking him several times.  The suspects fled the area.  

The victim was transported to a local area hospital where he later died of his injuries.
