The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) SWAT unit has been a supporter of LAOH for over 16 years with an annual tradition of visiting the hospital’s pediatric patients and children from the community.  Every year at this event, these officers deliver gifts and fulfill every child’s dream of meeting Santa.  Over 1,500 toys were donated from businesses and community supporters around the Southland.

SWAT Santa will arrive in an LAPD SWAT helicopter at LAOH.  Santa and the LAPD SWAT team will make this holiday season special for 1,000-plus children by delivering gifts at the Los Angeles Orthopedic Hospital Medical Center for their annual “Children’s Holiday Toy Party”.

LAOH has been serving children of the greater downtown community for nearly a century regardless of their family’s ability to pay.  LAOH is a leader in orthopedic patient care, education and research in orthopedic medicine, resulting in an improved quality of life for children with orthopedic disabilities.
