“Battle at the Academy” LAPD vs. Public Safety Dept.’s Charity Boxing Event NA13113cn

WHAT:
The Los Angeles Police Department Boxing Team in association with USA Boxing and the Los Angeles Police Revolver and Athletic Club (LAPRAAC) will be hosting a police charity boxing show.  LAPD vs. Public Safety Departments.

WHEN:
Saturday, July 6, 2013
4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

WHERE:
LAPD Academy - Elysian Park
1880 N. Academy Rd.
Los Angeles, CA

WHO:
LAPD Southwest PO-III John Negrete
LAPD Boxing Team

WHY:
On Saturday, July 6, 2013 the LAPD Boxing Team is hosting a charity boxing show.  This event will be taking place at the Elysian Park Academy on the field.  The show is from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and it is in association with USA Boxing and LAPRAAC.  The purpose of the show is to raise funds for the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation.

The general public is encouraged to come out and support the event.  Our department boxing team will be facing various other public safety departments.  They include Big Bear City Fire Department, San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department, California Department of Corrections, Santa Monica Fire Department, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the US Marshall’s office.
