WHERE: 115th Street and Figueroa Avenue Los Angeles, CA 90044 Meeting location underneath the freeway overpass

WHO: LAPD Captain Lee Sands, Commanding Officer of South Traffic Division Pastor Powe event organizer, United in Peace.

WHY: United in Peace is an organization which, started on October 13, 2012, to promote peace in the communities. Since October 2012, every month, United in Peace organizes and produces Peace Rides, which travel throughout Los Angeles and surrounding cities promoting peace. These rides involve motorcyclist, car clubs, celebrities and recording artists. United in Peace has received commendations from members of Congress, Mayors and City Council Persons. These Peace Rides brings both communities and law enforcement together. The event was established by United in Peace as part of the continuing community outreach to create peace and awareness in neighborhoods.
