Special Operations Support Division is responsible for investigating and prosecuting a number of different crimes. The Division is comprised of Gang Support Section and Traffic Coordination Section. Captain Kevin F. McCarthy is the Commanding Officer of the Special Operations Support Division.

The mission of Special Operations Support Division is to provide investigative expertise and to work in partnership with the various communities and Department entities to enhance public safety. Special Operations Support Division is also committed to supporting local, state, federal and foreign law enforcement agencies to ensure a cooperative, successful and unified effort to protect and serve people in all communities worldwide.
