Topanga Area would like to recognize Civilian Volunteer Siena Cawelti who has been assisting Topanga Area Station since before its opening. The amount of effort, time, and dedication to the Department as well as Topanga Area Station is beyond that of any other volunteer at Topanga Area Station. Her friendliness with employees, willingness to help with anything and everything radiates her character.
Siena assists Topanga Area station by leading our team of volunteers, providing training to new volunteers in a wide variety of tasks, answering phones for the Detective front desk, Senior Lead Office, and Community Relations Office. She works five-to-six days a week, ten or more hours a day, and handles every task with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
In addition to the volunteering at Topanga Area station she is an active member and co-chair of the Community Police Advisory Board and on the board for BOOSTERs. Siena is assisting in starting the Topanga Police Youth Board, and still manages to find time to work Station fundraisers, barbecues, and the Baker to Vegas support team.
As a volunteer, Siena Cawelti goes far beyond the call of duty and represents the epitome of hard work and effort to drive the LAPD to success. Her value to this station and to this Department are worth more than can be comprehended.
