WHY:
Captain John A. Sherman, Topanga Area, and other community leaders will discuss holiday crime prevention and enforcement efforts as we head toward the beginning of the holiday shopping season. Topanga Area will display some of the holiday crime fighting strategies, particularly as it pertains to shopping mall safety and crime prevention.
This event will include the Volunteer Mounted Patrol (VMP), a group of men and women from the community who enjoy riding horses and volunteering their time to assist the Los Angeles Police Department in crime prevention; Senior Lead Officers; Footbeat Officers on T-3 vehicles; Bicycle Patrol Officers; and Police explorers.
