Operations-Valley Bureau Mission Statement and Goals

The mission of Operations-Valley Bureau (OVB) is to support and develop all OVB personnel as we focus on:
  • The reduction of crime and fear of crime
  • The delivery of prompt, courteous and professional service to the community
  • Providing excellence in leadership and management
  • Continuing growth of community partnerships to reduce crime and address quality of life issues
Goals
  • We will reduce repressible violent and property crime by 10 percent.
  • We will increase business watch to reduce repressible crime in at least one identified business district in each Area.
  • We will develop a community based government system with other city entities.
  • We will develop a system of formal communication for the Chief of Police and OVB with the Valley Community.
  • We will develop a Valley Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee.
  • We will develop and refine a system to identify high-risk personnel.
