Unidentified Burnt Body Found

Los Angeles: A dead body was discovered after firefighters extinguished a fire in Lakeview Terrace.

On December 6, 2005, at about 6:30 PM, Los Angeles City Fire Department personnel responded to a small trash fire alongside the 210 Freeway at 11400 Gladstone Avenue. Upon putting out the flames, they discovered a dead body wrapped in an unknown material.

Foothill Area homicide detectives and arson investigators began a possible murder investigation.

The unidentified decedent was removed from the scene by Los Angeles County Coroner's investigator and will be examined and processed for possible forensic evidence. The descent and gender of the decedent is undetermined at this time, as well as the exact cause of death.
