WHY:
Thirteen North Hollywood Area Officers will be awarded the prestigious "10851" pin for their efforts in combating auto theft and property crime. The awards are presented by the California Highway Patrol and the Automobile Club of Southern California.
"10851" represents 10851(a), a section of the Vehicle code which states that any person who takes a vehicle without the owners consent is guilty of this offense.
