Los Angeles:
Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) North Hollywood detectives are seeking the assistance from the community in providing information that would lead to the arrest of a suspect(s) responsible for an attempt murder in the Valley Glen area.

On Jan. 1, 2011, at around 11 p.m., LAPD North Hollywood area patrol officers responded to a shooting call in the 6200 block of Babcock Avenue. The responding officers found five men suffering from gunshot wounds on the street and inside a house. Los Angeles Fire Department rescue personnel responded and treated some of the victims at scene, then transported the more seriously wounded to various hospitals throughout Los Angeles County for treatment.

Detectives believe that an unknown suspect(s) approached the victims and shot them numerous times.  The motive for this assault appears to be gang related and there is no suspect description at this time.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact Los Angeles Police Department North Hollywood Homicide Detectives at 818-623-4075.  During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (877-527-3247).  Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477).
