Residential Burglary Suspects Caught on Tape

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department's Van Nuys Division Burglary detectives are seeking the public's assistance in identifying two residential burglary suspects.

On Monday, May 22, 2017 around 2:45 p.m., Van Nuys Area officers received a radio call of a burglary in the 14000 block of Maida Street. When the officers arrived at the residence they found that suspects had entered by prying open a rear door. The investigation by detectives found that the first suspect had pried the rear door open, removed the alarm panel from the wall and threw it in the back yard. After walking through the home the suspect left the location through the rear door and drove away in a white Ford van.

Later that day around 4:50 p.m. the first suspect returned to the residence with a second suspect in the same white Ford van. The first suspect went into the residence through the rear door and opened the front door for the second suspect to enter. The second suspect got a dolly from the van and went into the residence. Both suspects took a Viking range and put it in the van. The suspects got into the van and fled the location eastbound on Maida Street.

The first suspect is described as a male White or Hispanic, 40-45 years old. He stands approximately 5 feet 10 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs approximately 280-300 pounds and has dark hair. He was wearing a blue short sleeve shirt, blue jeans, brown shoes, white gloves and had an unknown type badge hanging around his neck.

The second suspect is described as a male Hispanic 25-30 years old. He stands approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs pproximately 160-170 pounds and has brown hair. He was wearing a yellow construction type safety vest, white shirt, blue jeans and gray shoes.

The suspect vehicle is described as a white Ford van with unknown plates.
