Shooting Victim Found Dead in Van Nuys

 

Los Angeles: On Monday, February 25, 2002 at approximately 10:35 p.m., Van Nuys Patrol Officers responded to a radio call of a death investigation in the 6200 block of Hazeltine Avenue. Upon arrival, the officers found the victim, Jesse Isidro Alvarado, a male Hispanic, 23 years old, resident of the Van Nuys Area, mortally wounded from, what appeared to be, multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso. Paramedics from the Los Angeles City Fire Department responded and pronounced Alvarado dead at the scene.

No motive for the shooting has been established and no witnesses to the crime have been found. Anyone with information is asked to call the Van Nuys Homicide Unit at 818 756-8377.
