"Help Needed in Identifying Robber Caught on Tape"

 

Van Nuys: Since Wednesday, October 3, 2001, a lone male Caucasian suspect embarked on a crime spree, committing armed robberies of businesses in the West Valley and Van Nuys areas of the San Fernando Valley. The suspect is known to have robbed at least one local hotel, a restaurant, and two (2) music/video stores in the last 30 days. The suspect is described as 5’10" to 6’0" tall, 160 to 200 pounds, 30 to 40 years old, with blonde/brown hair, in a crew cut or flat top style. The suspect has also been described as having a rough complexion.

This suspect may be involved in a number of additional robberies within Los Angeles and should be treated as armed and dangerous.

UPDATE - December 7, 2001

The suspect in these robberies remains outstanding and continues on his crime spree. It is now believed that he is responsible for twelve (12) business robberies, including supermarket chains in Sherman Oaks, Woodland Hills, Northridge and in Calabasas. The suspect has also robbed a hotel, a restaurant and music video stores. The images caught on the videotape are from a robbery that occurred on October 4. His hair could have grown out and he may now have facial hair. The suspect has also worn different color baseball hats and sunglasses.

In the latest robberies, the suspect has been seen driving a late model, 1999 or newer, silver, Dodge or Ford, short bed Pick-up truck.
