The media are invited to an awards luncheon hosted by the Valley Traffic Advisory Council (VTAC).  The VTAC is recognizing the accomplishments of officers and civilian personnel, who have investigative responsibility for 225 square miles of the San Fernando Valley.  In 2008, Valley Traffic Division officers and civilian employees handled 16,000 traffic collision investigations.

The VTAC in partnership with the Valley Traffic Division are involved in educating the public on traffic safety matters by conducting presentations at schools, community meetings and various media press conferences with the goal of saving lives and property.

The VTAC is comprised of a group of dedicated individuals, business owners and community leaders, who offer their time and efforts towards building a safer community.  It is a non-profit organization that raises money directly for traffic safety and education in schools and throughout the community.

For further information, please contact Valley Traffic Advisory Council President Jeff Olshane at 818-779-1033.
