Two People Shot, One Killed in Hollywood

Los Angeles:  Los Angeles Police detectives are asking for the public's help to identify the person(s) responsible for the shooting death of a 19-year-old man.

On Friday, June 6, 2008, at around 9 p.m., Hollywood patrol officers responded to a shooting in the 5600 block of Fountain Avenue, where two victims were shot.  Both victims had already been transported to a local hospital by their friends.  Alexander Aldana, a 19 year-old male Hispanic was treated for his injuries, but later died.  The second victim, a female Hispanic was  in the line of fire and also shot. She was treated for her injuries, but no further information is being released at this time.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Aldana got into an argument with two male Hispanics while at a party.  One of the suspects shot Aldana and then both suspects headed westbound on foot from the location.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Hollywood Area Homicide Detectives T. Smalls or C. Mayberry at 213-972-2910 or 213-972-2903.  After hours and on weekends, calls may be directed to a 24-hour, toll-free number at 1-877-LAW-FULL (529-3855).
