Two Abducted Mexican Children Sought in LA

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a case of two Mexican National children who apparently had been kidnapped by unknown suspects from Mexico City, Mexico.

A request from the Interpol in Mexico was received in an attempt to locate the children and the investigation has been conducted by detectives from the Foreign Prosecution/Interpol Liaison Unit since April 2008.

According to the Interpol in Mexico, the children may be located in Los Angeles in the Venice area. The information was received from an anonymous caller. Unfortunately there is no further information on the missing children.

The children are 14-year-old Rodrigo Mendez Tinoco and 12-year-old Cesar Castillo Cruz. Rodrigo is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 95 pounds. Cesar stands 5 feet 2 inches and weighs about 90 pounds. Rodrigo and Cesar are not related.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of these children is asked to contact Detective Federico Sicard, Foreign Prosecution/Interpol Liaison Unit, at 213-485-5593.
