One Killed, Two Hurt in Gang Shooting NR09594ah
Los Angeles: An 18-year-old man was killed and two people were injured in an apparent gang shooting outside of an apartment complex in West Los Angeles on December 20, 2009.
The shooting occurred about 6:20 P.M., in the 8500 block of Beverlywood Street. Detectives say a group of people were standing in front of an apartment building when a gunman across the street open fired on them. Three victims were hit and rushed to local hospitals. Nelson Salazar of Los Angeles died from his injuries and two others were treated and released.
According to witnesses, the suspect was last seen on foot wearing a dark-hooded sweat shirt. His ethnicity is unknown.
