Additional Arrest Made in 2008 Century City Murder NR10329jr

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Detectives assigned to Robbery Homicide Division have made an additional arrest in the 2008 stabbing murder of Pamela Goudie Fayed.

On July 28, 2008, at 6:30 PM, West Los Angeles Area officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon radio call at 1875 Century Park East, in Century City.  On arrival, the officers were directed to the third level of the parking structure, where they discovered a woman, later identified as 45-year old Pamela Goudie Fayed of Ventura County, suffering from several stab wounds.  Pamela Fayed was transported by rescue ambulance to a local hospital where she failed to respond to treatment and was pronounced dead.

During the course of the investigation, Robbery Homicide Division assumed primary responsibility for the case.  On September 11, 2008, working in partnership with West Los Angeles Area Detectives, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the United States Attorney’s Office, Robbery Homicide Division arrested 50-year-old Jose Luis Moya for the murder of Pamela Fayed.

Victim Pamela Fayed’s husband who had been jailed on unrelated fraud charges was charged with his wife’s murder on September 18, 2008.

On June 11, 2010, detectives obtained arrest warrants for 21-year-old Steven Vicente Simmons and 45-year-old Gabriel Jay Marquez, in connection with Pamela Fayed’s murder.  On June 14, 2010,  Simmons was arrested without incident in Ventura County.  Marquez was in custody on an unrelated charge in Ventura County when the murder warrant was served.

To date, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office has filed murder charges against the four individuals for the 2008 stabbing death of Pamela Goudie Fayed.

Anyone with information about this investigation is urged to call Robbery Homicide Division Detective Abdul  at 213-486-6876 during regular business hours.  During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7.   Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477).  Tipsters may also contact Crimestoppers by texting to phone number 274637 (C-R-I-M-E-S on most keypads) with a cell phone.  All text messages should begin with the letters “LAPD.” Tipsters may also go to LAPDOnline.org, click on "webtips" and follow the prompts.
