38-year-old Missing Woman NR11513bb

UPDATE
November 11, 2011

On Wednesday November 9, 2011, Castillo was located in good health, and has been in contact with her family.

Los Angeles:
The family of Ana Castillo and the Los Angeles Police Department requests the public’s help in locating her.

Castillo was last seen on October 23, 2011, around 2:30 p.m. driving away from a residence in the 1000 block of Plymouth Boulevard, Los Angeles.  Castillo took her mother’s dark grey 2007 four-door Toyota Corolla, with license plate number:  5WUT625.  Castillo’s family told police that she has been known to frequent areas in Hollywood and West L.A., particularly on Sunset Boulevard, Melrose, and San Vicente Streets.  Castillo has not been in contact with her family or friends, which is extremely out of character.  Castillo’s family also fears for her well being as she may be in need of medical treatment.

Castillo is described as a female Hispanic, with brown hair and brown eyes.  She stands 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs about 140-150 pounds, and was last seen wearing a pink Addidas jacket, black pants, and grey and white shoes.  She may also be wearing a blue back support brace, and has the tendency to wear dark sunglasses even during nighttime hours.  Castillo may also go by the name “Regina” or “Gina”.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Castillo is asked to LAPD Missing Persons Unit at 213-996-1800.  During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (1-877-527-3247).   Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (1-800-222-8477).  Tipsters may also contact Crime Stoppers by texting to phone number 274637 (C-R-I-M-E-S on most keypads) with a cell phone.  All text messages should begin with the letters “LAPD.” Tipsters may also go to LAPDOnline.org, click on "webtips" and follow the prompts.
