Los Angeles: LAPD Hollywood Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person responsible for the murder of a transgender woman in Hollywood.
On November 17, 2011, around 9:58 p.m., LAPD Hollywood Area patrol officers responded to a shooting call in the area of Lexington Avenue and Gower Street. When they arrived they saw a woman lying unconscious and suffering from a gunshot wound. LAFD rescue personnel responded to the scene a pronounced the victim dead.
Detectives believe that the victim, 32-year-old transgender woman named Nathan Henry Vickers, was standing in the area when an unknown suspect(s) walked up to the victim and shot her. The suspect ran away on foot afterwards. The motive for the shooting is unknown.
