Argument Escalates to Deadly Stabbing NR12230wr
Los Angeles: A man is stabbed to death during a heated argument.
On May 19, 2012, at around 1:30 a.m., Wilshire Area officers responded to a call of a traffic accident in the 300 block of Orlando Avenue. When officers arrived they found a 27-year-old Asian male lying on the street suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Detectives believe the victim was involved in a dispute with the suspect which resulted with the suspect stabbing the victim to death.
Detectives have identified the suspect as 29-year-old Richard Herrera, a resident of Los Angeles. Herrera has been arrested and booked for murder.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
The exact motive for the dispute and subsequent stabbing is still under investigation.
