Based on video surveillance tapes provided by residents, the suspects are described as two male Blacks, 25-30 years of age, stocky builds, over 6 feet tall, 200 to 240 lbs. The surveillance videos also indicate that the suspects are wearing gloves and are covering their faces with ski masks. In one of the recovered surveillance tapes, the suspects were seen approaching the residence before they had pulled down their masks to cover their faces.

As a result of that video, the Los Angeles Police Department is releasing the still photographs of both suspects and asking the public’s assistance in identifying them.

In support of that effort, the City of Los Angeles is offering a $50,000 dollar reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects responsible for this series of crimes.

The Los Angeles Police Department is making every effort to investigate these crimes and identify the suspects responsible. Recommended preventative measures are:

•Ensure all doors and windows are securely locked, including side or rear garage doors.
•Ensure that alarm systems are maintained in good working order.
•Consider motion sensor detectors as part of your alarm system.
•Activate alarms when leaving your residence even if just for short trips away.
•Ensure that video surveillance systems are in good working order.
•Consider the installation of surveillance cameras if you don’t already have them.
•Maintain up to date records and photographs of small non-serialized valuables.
