Why:          
On Thursday, December 2, 2010, at about 9:17 p.m., 60-year-old, Razia Shariff, was getting out of her car on the west side curb of Centinela Avenue and north of Nebraska Avenue, when she was struck and killed by a person driving a possible 1992-1997 Toyota Corolla.  The driver of the Corolla left the scene without stopping to help the victim, or  identifying himself/herself as required by law.  

The Los Angeles Police Department, members of City Council and the family of  Ms. Shariff are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate the suspect responsible for killing Ms. Shariff.  During the news conference, Councilmember Rosendahl and the investigating detectives will announce a $50,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the hit and run suspect.
