Burglar Steals $500,000 in Jewelry NR14454jr

Cheviot Hills:  Los Angeles Police Department’s West Los Angeles Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspects responsible for burglarizing a Cheviot Hills residence.

On May 12, 2014, around 1:30 PM, the suspects entered the victim’s residence by prying open the rear French doors of the house located on the 3000 block of Earlmar Drive in Cheviot Hills. The suspects stole the victim’s property which included credit cards and jewelry valued at $500,000 and fled from the residence.

One of the suspects, a male White/Hispanic, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 150 Lbs., dark hair, facial hair, was later identified by video footage as he attempted to use the stolen credit cards at two Orange County locations.  In one of the videos, the suspect is wearing a dark long sleeved shirt, dark pants and blue shoes.  In the second video, the suspect is wearing a brown coat that is white on the inside, blue shirt, dark pants and tan boots.  The other suspect(s) was not visually identified.
