Motorcyclist Killed by Hit-And-Run Driver NR15087dm

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department West Traffic Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information regarding a hit-and-run collision between a motorcycle and a moving van.

On Wednesday, March 18, 2015, around 7:35 a.m., a motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Sunset Boulevard at Kenter Avenue. The motorcyclist was splitting between lanes when he collided with the passenger side of a white moving van. The motorcyclist lost control and collided with the roadway, where he sustained fatal injuries. The driver of the moving van continued westbound on Sunset Boulevard, failing to stop and render aid to the motorcyclist.

Los Angeles City Fire Department paramedics responded and provided immediate medical attention, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at scene.

The name of the motorcyclist is not being released at this time pending notification to next of kin.

This investigation is on-going and no further details are available.
