Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s West Los Angeles Division is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects responsible for three burglaries in the West LA area.

On July 16, 2015, around 11:20 a.m., a suspect knocked on a residence located in the 500 block of 26th Street. The suspect told the victim that he was doing construction work behind the victim’s home and some debris may have gotten into the victim’s backyard. The suspect volunteered to help clean up the yard. The victim led the suspect to the backyard, at which time the suspect placed two phone calls. The victim was told he would be given a business card to contact the suspect. The suspect then left the location on his vehicle. Sometime after the suspect left, the victim realized her dresser had been ransacked and her property was missing. Detectives believe there was a second suspect involved in this burglary. While the victim was showing the suspect the backyard, he placed a call to the second suspect who then entered the residence through the front door and removed the victim’s property.

The suspect who spoke to the victim is described as a 30- to 35-year-old white male with brown hair, brown eyes, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing approximately 165 pounds. The suspect was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and black tennis shoes. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a white, full-sized truck.

On July 17, 2015, around 10:30 a.m., a suspect rang the doorbell of a residence located in the 1700 block of Corinth Avenue. The suspect told the victim that he needed to enter her backyard to cut trees that were overhanging from the neighbor’s yard. While the victim and the suspect wen to the backyard, a second suspect entered the home through a back door and removed the victim’s property. The first suspect left the victim’s home on foot.

The suspect who spoke to the victim is described as a Hispanic male approximately 40 years old with dark hair, dark eyes, standing approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 190 pounds and wearing a gray shirt.

On July 28, 2015, around 5 p.m., a suspect approached a victim’s home located in the 3000 block of Cardiff Avenue. The suspect told the victim he was from the phone company and needed to enter her backyard to cut the tree branches near the phone lines. While the suspect was in the backyard, a second suspect entered her home through the front door and removed the victim’s property.

The suspect who spoke to the victim was described as a 30-year-old Hispanic male with black hair, brown eyes, standing approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds and wearing a light-blue uniform.
