CIVILIAN OF THE YEAR-2006

Secretary Donna Small

Secretary Donna Small is the West Traffic Division (WTD) Civilian of the Year for 2006. She is a tenured LAPD employee with over twenty years with the Department and has a wealth of knowledge handling administrative duties. At WTD, Small performs the duties of the Captain's Secretary. As such, she magnificently handles the logistics of the Captain's calendar and all the office correspondence. She sets a friendly, lively and positive tone for the Administrative Office.

Donna Small will discontinue the task at hand and make time to welcome and assist an individual who comes into the Administrative Office for assistance. Additionally, she eagerly shares her administrative knowledge and offers to assist those who are overloaded with special projects. For example: the WTD Administrative Office is overwhelmed with Risk Management projects. Donna, who carries a full workload, is very quick to volunteer her assistance in order to meet due dates.

Donna Small has a solid work ethic and good demeanor. She is a conciliator and a great asset to West Traffic Division and the Department.
