The West Valley Area Community Police Station and the West Valley BOOSTERS are hosting the 2nd Annual Memorial Motorcycle Ride. Over 400 motorcycles will line up in front of the West Valley Community Police Station at 9 a.m., there will be a Color Guard presentation, a Bagpipe presentation, and several speakers.  The motorcycles will then simultaneously start their engines, and with the combined efforts of the California Highway Patrol and The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the riders will be escorted on a 56-mile ride to the back lot of Paramount Studios in Hollywood.  At the ending location there will be a live band, catered lunch and raffle prizes.

The West Valley Community Police Station is teaming up with The Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation and The Randal D. Simmons Outreach Foundation to provide support for the widows and orphans of officers killed in the line of duty, and for many other members of the LAPD family that experience catastrophic occurances.

The media is welcomed and encouraged to participate in this worthwhile event. For further information regarding this event, contact Police Officer III Lyle Michelson, West Valley Community Police Station, at 818-374-7617.
