Hit-and-Run Drivers Leave Pedestrian Dead $50,000 Reward Extended NR13460dmLos Angeles: On Sunday, December 2, 2012, at approximately 2:15 a.m., a double Hit and Run Traffic Collision occurred in the community of Reseda. A dark gray sport utility vehicle (SUV) was traveling northbound on Reseda Boulevard when it collided with a pedestrian who was crossing eastbound on Reseda Boulevard, south of Bessemer Street. While the pedestrian lay in the roadway motionless, he was struck by a second passenger vehicle. The pedestrian, Thomas Robert Price, a 22-year-old resident of Reseda, died at a local hospital. Both drivers sped away from the scene without stopping to render aid or to identify themselves.
The first Hit and Run vehicle is described as a 1997-1998, dark gray SUV, possible Chevrolet Tahoe LX with a 4-5 inch lift kit. The vehicle may have sustained head lamp damage from the collision. The second Hit and Run vehicle is described as a dark blue, four-door, possible Acura.
On February 18, 2013, a $50,000 reward was approved by City Council for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the hit and run drivers. The reward was valid for six months. A second six-month extension was approved validating the reward for a second six-month period.
