"Police to Conduct Zero-Tolerance Task Force in West Valley Area"

Los Angeles: On Wednesday, September 25, 2002, dozens of Los Angeles Police Department officers from West Valley Area, Valley Traffic Division, and Valley Bureau Headquarters will focus on violent crime and community quality of life issues in an effort to reduce crime in the West Valley Area.
The target zone, commonly referred to as the "Reseda Corridor," is the area bordered by Roscoe Boulevard on the north, White Oak Avenue on the east, Oxnard Street on the south and Reseda Boulevard on the west.
Operations will commence at 8:00 a.m. and will continue past midnight. There will be zero tolerance for traffic violations and criminal acts in the affected area.
Recent past task forces in other parts of the Valley have resulted in hundreds of traffic citations and vehicle impounds, and dozens of arrest.
Other similar task forces to combat violent crime and improve the quality of life are also scheduled to be conducted in other parts of the San Fernando Valley.
