Take Over Robbery at Home Depot

Los Angeles – Today, December 14, 2000 at 5:15 a.m., a take over robbery occurred at the Home Depot, located at 21218 Roscoe Boulevard. Two male, Blacks, armed with handguns entered the location prior to opening. The suspects gathered all the employees and escorted them to the back of the store. As one of the suspects held the employees at gunpoint, the other escorted the assistant manager to the office. The assistant manager was then forced to open the safe. An undisclosed amount of U.S. currency was then removed from the safe. At this time, one suspect shot rounds into a security door in order to gain entry, however this attempt failed. The suspects fled the location in a silver or tan Honda or Mazda type vehicle.

There were no reported injuries as a result of this incident.
