Do You Know These Mutt and Jeff Car Thieves? NR16093PV

March 9, 2016

Reseda: Detectives have released
video footage depicting two of three men involved in stealing a red
’98 Honda
Superhawk motorcycle from the parking structure of the Pine Tree
Terrace Apartments, 7940 Reseda Boulevard.

Security video showed two men in the parking structure on February
27, 2016, around 10 PM, which matched the time the motorcycle was
taken.

“While we don’t know their names, they are a mismatched pair like
Mutt and Jeff,” explained Detective Mark Pearce, who is handling
the investigation at the West Valley Police Station. “The bald
suspect is over 6 feet tall and wearing a distinct red or orange
T-shirt, while his companion is under 5’7″with a small
build.”

Detectives also believe the pair probably had a third companion who
was not seen in the video.

“The video is quite clear, and anyone who knows either of these men
should be able to recognize them,” Detective Pearce said. “We ask
anyone with information to call.”

Three cars have been burglarized and one other car stolen from this
parking garage since July 2015. The men seen in the picture are not
necessarily responsible for these other crimes, “But solving one of
these crimes could have a big influence on crime at the apartment,”
Detective Pearce added.

MEDIA: Video may be obtained by
coming to West Valley Police Station and shooting it off a screen.
