Wilshire Community Goals

In partnership with business and residential community members, the men and women of the Wilshire Community Police Station have developed our community policing goals. These goals are the responsibility of the community and the Police Department to enhance public safety and homeland security. Community members are urged to work with Wilshire Station personnel to achieve a reduction in crime and a high quality of life for all who live, visit and pass through the Wilshire community.

•    Goal Number 1:
Decrease crime with an emphasis on reducing gang-related criminal activity.

•    Goal Number 2:
Increase emphasis of community outreach and relationships while continuing to enhance our efforts in social media.

•    Goal Number 3:
Further enhance juvenile intervention and prevention strategies for at-risk youth

•    Goal Number 4:
Maintain the Departments commitment to constitutional policing.

•    Goal Number 5:
Maintain our working relationship with local and federal partners to be prepared to respond to a catastrophic and/or terrorist event. Respond and investigate suspicious activity in our efforts to prevent such attacks.
