Brazen Street Robbery Captured on Video Surveillance NR19065jl

Melrose: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire Division are seeking the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the identification and arrest of four robbery suspects.

On Monday, March 04, 2019, around 4:10 p.m., multiple suspects followed the victim from a business located on Melrose Ave. The victim was walking in a residential area in the 7400 block of Waring Ave when he was approached by four suspects who were following him on foot. Suspect-1 grabbed the victim from behind while suspect-2 began to strike the victim multiple times. Suspect-3 and suspect-4 removed the victim’s property from his person. The victim suffered a bloody nose. A concerned citizen stopped his vehicle, exited, and then chased the suspects who fled westbound on Waring Ave.

Detectives believe the suspects may be responsible for several other robberies in the area.

Suspect-1 is described as a male, Black, 18 to 25 years of age, standing approximately 6 feet 1 inches tall and weighs around 120-160 pounds. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with a white zipper & string, black pants, white shoes and a black Nike backpack.

Suspect-2 is described as a male, Black, 18 to 25 years of age, standing approximately 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs around 140 pounds. He was wearing a white hoodie with writing on the front, black pants, black shoes and a tan backpack.

Suspect- 3 is described as a male, Black, 18 to 25 years of age, goatee, stands approximately 6 feet tall and weighs around 200 pounds. He was wearing a dark hoodie, dark pants, black shoes and a black backpack.

Suspect-4 is described as a male, Black, 18 to 25 years of age, standing approximately 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs around 140 pounds. He was wearing a white hoodie with writing on front, black pants, black shoes, and a black/grey backpack.
