L.A. Bridges

The L.A. Bridges is primarily a gang prevention and intervention service. The program expands opportunities for young people, families, and the community by collaborating with the Los Angeles Unified School District, the Los Angeles Police Department, the community Development Department, the City Attorneys' Office, community-based organizations, and the Mayor's Office to:

  • Provide diversion from the juvenile justice system for first time minor offenders
  • Improve learning, school performance, and attendance
  • Develop young people's potential
  • Enrich family life
  • Reduce and prevent violence
  • Improve coping skills
  • Enhance parent capabilities
  • Improve youth/parent relationships
  • Increase positive community interaction
  • Increase respect for diversity
  • Provide job training and jobs for youth
The L.A. Bridges is a community-driven program that provides additional support to many programs designed to develop youth and prevent gang violence throughout the City. For more information, you may contact:
