Steve Ballmer, Owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, Honored at the Los Angeles Police Foundation’s True Blue Gala NA15096SF

The Los Angeles Police Foundation (LAPF) will honor Steve Ballmer at the celebrated True Blue Gala. During the event, guests will interact with more than twenty Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) specialized units that offer informative displays and demonstrations with the latest state-of-the-art police technology, vehicles, weapons and crime-prevention equipment rarely seen up close.

The mission of the Los Angeles Police Foundation is to create partnerships to provide resources and programs that help the LAPD perform at their highest level and to enhance LAPD-community relations. Since its founding in 1998, the LAPF has invested more than $23 million in grants to the LAPD in the areas of equipment and technology upgrades, specialized training, community outreach, and youth programs.

Projects funded by the Los Angeles Police Foundation include: Counter-Terrorism; Trauma Shooting Kits; Body Worn Video Equipment; Staff Morale & Wellness; Juvenile Impact Program; DNA Backlog; Community Relations; Traffic Safety and Professional Standards/Internal Affairs.
