Robbery Victim Found Dead at Home

Los Angeles: On Saturday, December 28, 2002, at approximately 10:55 a.m., Hollywood Area patrol officers responded to a possible homicide at 9405 Sierra Mar Place in the Hollywood Hills. Preliminary investigation revealed that a friend of the deceased had arrived at the residence that morning, only to discover his lifeless body in the living room. The friend contacted a neighbor, who called 9-1-1.
The Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded to the location and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Subsequent investigation by the detectives revealed that the victim had sustained a fatal gunshot wound during a possible robbery at his residence. There is no suspect(s) description at this time.
The victim has been identified as Robert Michael Lubin, 56 years of age, a resident of Los Angeles.
