Up to $50,000 Reward Available for Information on This Crime

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit and Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members who provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.

Hollywood: Los Angeles Police Department West Traffic Division Detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect involved in a hit and run collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.

On Sunday, December 6, 2015, around 3:30 a.m., West Traffic Division Officers received a radio call of an “Ambulance Traffic”, in the intersection of Ivar Avenue South of Hollywood Boulevard. When the officers arrived they found 24-year-old Robert John Ryan lying on the ground.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without identifying himself or herself and did not render aid to the victim, a violation of 20001 (A) VC, Hit and Run.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the location and pronounced Mr. Ryan dead at scene.

There is no suspect or vehicle description and the investigation is still ongoing. There have been no arrests made at this time.
