WHO: LAPD Chief Charlie Beck, Assistant Chief Michael Moore, Deputy Chief Jon Peters, Deputy Chief Dennis Kato, Captain Cory Palka, Captain Tony Carranza

WHY: Members of the Los Angeles Police Department will be embarking on a Cross Country Bicycle Ride to honor Law Enforcement Officers who have been killed in the line of duty. They will begin at Hollywood Division and over the course of 16 days will ride to Washington, D.C. Along with honoring these officers, they hope to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, DC.
