Boy Dies in Granada Hills Traffic Collision

Los Angeles: A 9-year-old boy died in the San Fernando Valley on Monday after being thrown from a vehicle involved in a traffic collision.

At approximately 3:20 p.m., on Monday, March 6, a 65-year-old resident of Pacoima was driving her 2002 Hyundai Sonata southbound on Gothic Street near Rinaldi Avenue, when her vehicle was struck by a 1998 Chevrolet Suburban, driven by a 34-year-old Panorama City man.

The boy, a passenger in the Sonata, was ejected from the car when the vehicles collided. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died of his injuries.
