"One Dead in Fatal Traffic Collision"

Los Angeles – On June 27, 2000, at 8:30 AM, a fatal traffic collision occurred at the intersection of Chatsworth Street and Haskell Avenue. A 1992 GMC Utility Vehicle, traveling southbound on Haskell Avenue collided with a 2000 Ford F250 pickup truck, traveling westbound on Chatsworth Street. After the collision, the GMC continued traveling in a southwesterly direction and collided with a block wall and then a house. The Ford pickup truck also continued in a southwesterly direction and collided with a block wall. Two children inside the house received minor injuries from flying debris.

There were no passengers in either vehicle.

The driver of the Ford pickup sustained minor injuries.

The driver of the GMC, described as a 45 year old man, resident of Pacoima, died as the result of the injuries suffered in the crash. His identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
