Killer Shoots Two People Leaving One Person Dead

Pacoima: Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for a murder.

On August 16, 2022, around 6:40 p.m., a black, Honda Civic, drove northbound near the 10800 block of Sutter A venue from Van Nuys Boulevard. As the Honda Civic passed up the street, suspect emerged from parked vehicles and fired multiple rounds at the Honda.

The Honda Civic continued northbound on Sutter A venue and eastbound on Pinny Street. The driver left the car parked in the middle of the street near the 13000 block of Van Nuys Boulevard, in front of Fire Station 98.

Victim-I, who was seated in the front passenger seat sustained a fatal gunshot wound to his torso. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Victim-2, driver’s side rear passenger was struck twice in her lower abdomen by two bullets which fragmented in her chest area. She was transported to a local area hospital where she is expected to undergo surgery. She is listed in critical but stable condition. The driver of the Honda fled the area on foot.
