Man Riding in Car Shot From Street by Rival Gang Member

Los Angeles: On Friday afternoon, March 11th, a man was shot while riding in a car traveling through Northeast Los Angeles.
The victim, a 20-year-old Hispanic, was a passenger in a car headed west on Buchanan Street approaching North Avenue 52. Shortly before 4:00 PM, a pedestrian on the sidewalk fired a gun several times into the victim’s car, striking him once in the head. The driver of the car immediately drove the man to a local hospital for medical treatment and the police were summoned.
The man was critically injured. At 2:30 the following afternoon, Saturday, March 12th, he was removed from life support and died. The shooting is believed to be gang related.
The suspects are described as three male Hispanic gang members in their late teens to early twenties. All had short hair. They were last seen driving south on North Avenue 52 from Buchanan in a red 4-door 1990s sedan, possibly a Honda Accord. The suspects are still outstanding.
