Rampart Area Detectives Requesting Assistance in Capturing Robbery Suspects

Rampart Robbery Detectives are investigating three robberies where the suspects and suspects’ actions are similar.

On January 1, 1999, at approximately 3:00 p.m., the latest in a series of three robberies occurred at 1305 South Berendo Street. This occurrence is related to the robbery at 2676 Pico Boulevard and a previous robbery at the Berendo address.

Investigation revealed that suspect #1 entered the store and asked for merchandise. Suspect #2 followed suspect #1 into the business. Suspect #1 displayed a handgun and demanded money. Suspect #2 became involved in an altercation with a witness and hit him with an aerosol can causing injuries.

Suspect #1 is described as a Male, Black, shaved head, 6-1, 160, 20-25 years, medium complexion.

Suspect #2 is described as a Male, Black, 6-0, 200, 20-25 years, light complexion, and corn rows with shoulder length braids. He may have a tattoo of a bunny on his neck. Additionally, he has attempted to sexually assault the victims on two of the robberies.

Suspects have used handguns in the course of the robberies. Both suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.
