Infant Killed in Shooting

Los Angeles: A three-week-old infant was shot and killed Saturday during an attempt murder which left a 37-year-old man in critical condition.

On Saturday, at around 9:30 p.m., Rampart officers responded to a call of a shooting at 6th Street and Burlington Avenue. Upon arrival, officers determined that an infant and a 37-year-old man had been struck by gunfire. The infant, who was identified as Luis Angel Garcia, was transported by paramedics to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The adult male, Francisco Clemente, was also transported to a local hospital and remains in critical condition.

The suspects are unknown and the weapon is outstanding.
