Armed Robbery Suspect Caught on Video NR17358ti

Los Angeles: Detectives from the
Los Angeles Police Department’s Rampart Area are seeking the
public’s assistance in identifying an armed robbery suspect.

On November 27, 2017, around 7:55 a.m., a takeover robbery occurred
at a gas station located in the 4500 block of Melrose Avenue. One
armed suspect entered the business and pretended to purchase
cigarettes. The suspect removed a handgun from his pocket and
pointed it at the cashier and demanded money from the cash
register. The cashier handed the suspect money and the suspect fled
running eastbound on Melrose Avenue.

The suspect is described a 35 to 40-year-old male Hispanic. He has
wavy long black hair tied in two pony tails. He stands 5 feet
11inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He has a goatee, wears
prescription glasses and wears a wedding band on his left index
finger. He was wearing a blue “LA” baseball cap, a blue jacket
turned inside out, dark pants and black shoes.
