Gang Related Shooting Leaves One Victim Dead

Los Angeles: Van Nuys Area Homicide detectives are investigating the murder of 25 year-old Alvin George Flowers Jr., a resident of the Van Nuys area.
On Monday, March 29, 2004, at about 12:15 p.m., Van Nuys Area patrol officers responded to a shooting call in the 15000 block of Sherman Way. Upon arrival at the location, the officers found the victim on the sidewalk, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The motive for the shooting at this time appears to be gang related.
